Here it is! Part 1 of what will finally end up being a FOUR-part series of what I had INTENDED to only be a ONE-part submission. Unfortunately, describing the insane methods I used in a single night to make my Howler takes about *checks the clock* 11 hours to describe! XD
This is a step-by-step process of how to make your very own Howler (as seen in Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets). If ANYONE makes one (or intends to) using my tutorial, I would LOVE to see them when finished!
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE let me know if I failed to describe something properly or if you just don't understand what the sam-hell I am talking about. I would be glad to try to make it as clear as possible.
Harry Potter, Chamber of Secrets, howlers and all other licensing involved is owned and operated by persons OTHER than myself! I did not create them, I just made the howler.
EDIT: I found the exact kind of wire I used for the Howler at work today and I had the length off. I have changed this now to reflect that.
You can get this wire at any big hobby store. However, if you don't want to spend a lot of money- go to your local florist and ask if you can have maybe 12 pieces of wire, they will most likely give it to you for free.

Yeah, the funny thing is, it really WAS easier to make than it is to explain. Took me, I think only 8 or 9 hours straight making it, as in COMPLETELY. I used wire, tape, glue, butcher paper, nice paper, some ink (for the letter inside) and about 12 inches of ribbon. I spent less than $10 on it and the most expensive part was the red paper! This is like Wal-mart-cosplay budget cheap! XD

Oh-Brave One! Well, never fear! I will be going through this and refining it a little to make it as absolutely clear as possible! I got new wires and everything!
