Okay, so I was browsing through SEVERAL galleries, looking for refs for a piece/trade I am doing.... and... I have to say...

I AM SO. SICK. AND. TIRED! of all the CRAP photos on this site that consider themselves "art"! I am so sick and tired of seeing some freakin' chick, looking emo and gloomy and depressed staring at the fucking camera and it being classified as "EXPRESSIVE portraits"! WTF?!?! And I am STILL sick at the amounts of pointless nudity, so referred to on this site as "ARTISTIC nudity"!

ARE WE THAT FRIGGING PATHETIC?!?!?

People... I challenge you. I challenge you to do something PROVOCATIVE with your art!

No, provocative doesn't necessarily mean "nude"- it means do something UNIQUE! Do something meaningful! Do something that hasn't already been done A MILLION TIMES BY ALL THESE CAMERA WHORES! Nudity is fine when it's something like Michelangelo's sculptures... He wasn't showing nudity for nudity's sake- he was showing the depth, the power and the grace of the human form.

A PHOTO OF A WOMAN'S NIPPLE ISN'T PROVOCATIVE! IT'S JUST A DAMN NIPPLE! Just about every single person on the face of the PLANET has at least one! Most have two. A couple may have three. Hell, CATS AND DOGS have nipples!

I saw a photo today of a pregnant woman, holding her hands in the shape of a heart over her belly. I thought that was absolutely beautiful and creative. It doesn't take all that much, but PLEASE STOP THE INSANITY!

Use your art to tell a story. A single picture is supposed to be worth 1000 words. Most of the photos on this site aren't worth one! Gawd, I am sooooo picky now when it comes to posting my photos. Out of the HUNDREDS of pictures I shoot, I post maybe 4!
